As a freelance writer, coming up with new words and ideas can become tedious and difficult. Recently, I found a simple little software tool that has boosted my productivity enormously.

Article ideas is a tool which extracts snippets of articles on any topic you request. Enter a topic, and an optional subtopic, select how many results you want, between 10 and 1000, and hit go.

Article ideas will chew away on the results for a while, if you ask for a lot, then just leave it running while you go make coffee, or do something productive.

When you come back, you will have some relevant snippets, you can choose them as plain text or cited text with the URL they came from. You can copy either version for editing, or save to a file. You will also find a bunch of URL’s in the top pane which you can visit for further details.
