“It must be fun!” that’s Jill’s aim when she writes poetry for children. But she doesn’t stop at poetry - she also writes plays, picture books, early readers and heaps of other stuff for primary-aged students. Jill’s work is published around the world and her books have been translated into Mandarin, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish, German and Pomeranian. Well, maybe not Pomeranian.
And here’s a pome just for you:
Ghost Train
Cobwebs quiver
Coffins creak
Shadows shiver
Spiders sneak
Gremlins grumble
Ghosties glare
Monsters mumble
Zombies stare
Blind bats blunder
Werewolves howl
Footsteps thunder
Vampires prowl
Children cower
Grown men fret -
Want another ride?
You bet!
